Statistics: Russia’s inflation at 0.1 in April 9–Monday
MOSCOW, Apr 17 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation sped up to 0.1% from April 9 through Monday and reached 1.9% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Wednesday.
In the reported week, prices for millet rose 1.1%, for flour by 0.5%, for sausaes, frozeon fish, butter, sterilized milk, and pasta by 0.3%, for canned meat, cheeses, bread, cookies, and salt by 0.2%.
Prices for poultry fell 0.5%, for sugar by 0.3%, and for sunflower oil by 0.2%.
Fruit and vegetable prices rose 0.1% on average. Cabbage prices increased 5.7%, carrot prices by 2.9%, tomatoes prices by 2.6%, and onion prices by 1.2%. Cucumber prices fell 5.9%.
Gasoline prices remained unchanged, diesel fuel prices fell 0.5%.
